Permissions requirements:
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: These permissions are needed when installing the app in external storage so that we can save and load progress. Read permissions are also needed for accessing custom deck images external storage.
RECORD_AUDIO and CAMERA: True Skate includes Everyplay which can record and share in game video. Everyplay has the additional option to include audio and video commentary via these permissions. On supported devices, video sharing is accessible via the 'Share' button in the replay viewer.

Aspyr Media president Michael Rogers told MacCentral that the new game is one of those titles that will “suck hours out of your life.”
“The different maps are a blast — some challenge you to get the best air possible, others have great rails and grind areas, but most have something for every type of player,” said Rogers. “The competition levels are cool, the cheats are fun, and nothing beats playing the whole game as Spiderman (trust me)! The pro skateboarding game is a conversion of a hugely popular PC title published by Activision. The conversion itself was handled by Westlake Interactive. It features single-player and multiplayer capabilities, enabling you to go head-to-head with friends on LANs, AppleTalk networks, or the Internet. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 also incorporates support for GameRanger, Scott Kevill’s free Mac-only online gaming service. Multiplayer games include tag mode, trick attack and graffiti.
In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, you can take the persona and skills of some of the world’s most well-known skateboarding pros, including personalities like Tony Hawk and Bob Burnquist. You can also create your own customized skater if you prefer. You tour a variety of fantastic skate parks as you master trick combos. In career mode you’ll play for cash, which you can then use to buy new decks, master new skills, and visit new locations.
“We are very excited about Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2,” Westlake Interactive business manager Suellen Adams told MacCentral. “It’s addictive, and it runs seamlessly under Mac OS X, as well as 8.6 and above!”
That’s not all, either — Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 also includes a real-time 3D editor, which enables you build your own skate park from the ground up. You can also save your parks and share files with other users.
